Lewis Capaldi releases new track 'Hold Me While You Wait'

Following the stellar success of his recent single ‘Someone You Loved’, Lewis Capaldi is back with a new track called ‘Hold Me While You Wait’.

Armed with a soaring gospel-inspired chorus and Lewis’ undeniably distinct vocals and heartfelt lyrics, ‘Hold Me While You Wait’ looks set to be another massive hit for the unstoppable singer-songwriter.

Speaking about the track, Lewis said: “‘Hold Me While You Wait’ is a song I wrote about the uncertainty of being in a relationship when your partner isn’t sure what they want. There’s an impending hopelessness to the whole thing, on both sides, when they’re not sure whether they want to be in that relationship or not. For me it’s one of the most desperate places you can find yourself in.”

Take a listen to ‘Hold Me While You Wait’ below.

‘Hold Me While You Wait’ is an instant grat track taken from Lewis’ highly anticipated debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which is due for release on May 17. The album will also include the gargantuan number one hit ‘Someone You Loved’, and ‘Grace’.

Lewis recently announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for 2020, which sold out in minutes despite not having released his debut album. It’s yet another incredible feat for the Scottish artist, who continues to grow from strength to strength at a rapid rate.

Prior to his UK arena tour next year, Lewis will be spending most of 2019 on tour across various festivals and supporting The Killers and Ed Sheeran. He will also be headlining his own sold-out tour across the UK in November, including a date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. With pretty much every headline show sold out, consider yourself lucky if you’ve got a ticket to see Lewis Capaldi live in the near future!
