Five Things You Didnt Know about Jared Padalecki
Everyone loves Jared Padalecki, and I’m sure you don’t even need me to tell you why. He was the very popular character on a very popular show called Gilmore Girls for many years. He played the role of Dean Forester, and he stole our hearts on a regular basis. He grew up in front of all of us who just loved the show so much, and he has continued to become even more famous, even more down-to-earth and even more desirable as an actor and a man since he was given the opportunity to grow up onscreen. He’s coming back in 2016 as Dean in the Netflix series about a year in the life of the same Gilmore girls from the hit show that ended back in 2007. It’s been almost a decade, and the world is dying to see him reprise this role. Additionally, we just love him even though we didn’t know everything about him until just recently.
He’s A Texas Boy
What so many people are always surprised to learn is that Jared Padalecki was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He is a Texas man through and through, and it actually does show up in his personality quite a bit. He’s ruggedly handsome, and he’s not afraid of the heat and some hard work. That’s part of the Texas motto, after all.
He’s Married
He wasn’t when he was on television, but now he is. In fact, he’s married to a famous actress by the name of Genevieve Cortese. The beautiful couple wed in 2010, just three years after his hit show and his real claim to fame came to an end. Sorry, ladies.
He Became Famous Through A Competition
It was 1999 when Jared Padalecki was involved in the Fox Broadcasting company’s “Claim to Fame,” contest. He won, which allowed him to appear on a little award show called the Teen Choice Awards. While he was there, he met his agent and was able to provide such a good first impression that he was almost immediately being cast in roles that would help lead him into far greater fame.
He’s A Father
To make matters worse for the women out there who hope that maybe he will ditch his wife in favor of falling in love with them, don’t count on it. Not only are they quite happy together, they have two little boys of their own and they are not looking to take any time off being a family to meet the needs of his fans. He’s good where he is.
He’s Suffered Depression
It was a very devastating moment in his life to realize that he was struggling with depression, but he did it. He sought help and he is learning to overcome his issues, work through them and live a healthier life as a result. He decided to share his battles with his fans to help bring further understanding of the silent disease into the world. Fans loved that he did that.
